Just over 2000 years ago, the greatest of all Kings was born. His birth had been foretold and foreshadowed for millennia. The sacred event signified the arrival of the most powerful Kingdom ever known. This most significant moment in all of history arrived in quiet reverence, in the middle of a parched desert, amongst trampled straw and common farm animals. The Great King was born to simple parents – poor even by the dismal standards of the day. To the faithful, His arrival was trumpeted through the Heavens by glorious angels. A heavenly token forever marked the event as a new star was born which appearance was likely dismissed out of hand by the multitudes of the Earth unprepared to witness the epic moment. On that all important night, Christ the Lord began His reign on Earth, forever changing our destiny, our purpose, our hopes.
It is for these reasons, and these reasons alone, we boldly wish all a Merry Christmas. It is a season in which we celebrate the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of all mankind. We celebrate His perfect life, His perfect example, His perfect eternal gifts to us. We celebrate all of the pure and wholesome values He advocated throughout His short life here on Earth – not the least of which was Peace amongst all nations and all people.
We also raise our gratitude heavenward for the blessing of living in a great nation where our right to worship the King of Kings is protected and defended every single day. We humbly thank the noble men and women of our country’s armed forces who put their lives on the line to ensure our great nation never loses such critically important freedoms.
To all of them and to all of you… we say Merry Christmas. May God Bless us All.
